What you are likely seeing is the seam sealer that covers the seam where the roof overlaps the outer roof rail panels. That seam sealer shrinks up and the paint goes with it. Fit and finish is questionable at best and there are always issues with leaking. Each trim in the titan lineup features eight standard air bags including front seat mounted side impact supplemental air bags and roof mounted curtain side impact supplemental air bags with rollover sensor.

All nissan did was glob on some black sealant it took them about 3 tries and then i had to fix it. Factory sunroofs do have drain tubes that can get clogged causing leaks but they are easily cleaned out if you re aware of them. Nissan usa official site.
